I've been using Kanka as an online wiki reference for the settings I run. For notes that I use while running the game I use the Notion template by Sly Flourish that another user posted here.

This has been a lifesaver for me for years now. Just need to add some sections for world building and it'd be even better!

Yeah, it's gotten so bad that I have family outside of the US that were worried I was going to any pride events this month. Feels like things are gonna be a whole lot scarier before it (hopefully, eventually) gets better.

I have friends in Florida that are planning to move out of the state ASAP because of the transphobic laws being passed. DeSantis is a heartless asshole

Everything was completely civil.

Later in that thread you say

Ah so you’re just a left-wing partisan conspiracy theorist. ... Or you’re a troll. Which is probably the case.

Which doesn't really read as "completely civil".

To say that I’m unwilling to engage is laughable.

The discussion that was linked quite literally shows your unwillingness to engage. I don't get lying about something that everyone can check, I can only assume this is your genuine POV. That coupled with your comment earlier in this thread about how "here anyone who votes for a Republican is going to being considered a Nazi" gives the image of someone who does not actually care about "well-intentioned engagement from a diverse group of opinions". It just reads as a persecution complex. You can't even give well-intentioned engagement for your opinions!

digging through someone’s post history with the ill-intent to smear them.

It's a conversation you had with that person like 3 days ago that helps highlight the bad faith engagement here. It's not like they pulled out some unrelated tweet you made 8 years ago, lol.

Have you tried No Man's Sky? I've been having a fun time being a pacifist space explorer cataloging all sorts of random creatures, plants, and rocks. Only a handful of hours of playtime but so far it looks like the combat is optional.

There’s sooooo much disinformation on TikTok, super worrying if younger generations are turning to there first for their news. It’s algorithm makes it really easy to fall into an echo chamber

The Earth’s “carbon budget” — the emissions that can be released to have a 50% chance of keeping global temperature rise under 1.5°C — is shrinking fast. In 2020, the IPCC calculated the remaining budget at 500 gigatons of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases. It is now about 250 gigatons.

Improving the odds to 66% or 80% would cut the budget to 150 gigatons and 100 gigatons, which at present rates will be exhausted in less than three years.

Man, these reports just get gloomier and gloomier huh...

I started playing No Man's Sky recently and it looks like they added a mode that's more 'streamlined'. Dunno if it's still procedurally generated, though.

Logitech is axing the Blue Microphones name in favor of Yeti, the name of one of Blue's most popular mic series. Yeti mics will live under the broader Logitech G umbrella of PC peripherals and accessories historically aimed at gamers and streamers.

"We will be keeping the Yeti brand and moving it under Logitech G. The Blue name will be used to describe our technologies (e.g., our BLUEVO!CE filters that we offer on select Logitech G headsets)," Logitech said via Reddit on Thursday, as spotted by The Verge.

"Logitech G Yeti" is a bit of a mouthful to remember in comparison but at least the mics aren't going away for good.

Heya everyone. Found this place when I was looking for Reddit alternatives after getting the shut down message in Apollo. Checked the list of alternatives on a subreddit and was immediately grossed out by transphobic sites and fucking VOAT of all places being in the list, so randomly running into this place after that was very relieving.

Big into tabletop RPGs, started with Pathfinder 1st edition a long time ago but have mostly been playing D&D 5th edition with some sprinklings of OSR and PbtA-influenced games (well, game, singular. Blades in the Dark is super fun though!) Like most tabletop fans probably, I'm also into fantasy/sci-fi media.

Happy weekend!
