My biggest fear is that a terrorist group would smuggle a bomb and detonate it in the chunnel, killing many and causing millions of pounds of damage because then, the blow-back against innocent migrants would be absolutely terrible.

Pretty sure this is nostr devs messing with nostr to try to find a way to squeeze money out of it btw.

I think they were taking the "Nothing of value was lost" position. They already weren't thrilled with the content coming from nostr and this was the straw that broke the camels back.

Concerning that we seem to see the same issue across first world countries where hospitals seem to always be operating at just barely under capacity at all times.

Because the reply guy spams across the bridge into the fediverse a number of instances have muted or defederated the bridge.

Mental health professionals have higher rates of mental illness than the general population. She was apparently researching depression which was probably self diagnosed. Will be interesting if the defence brings in a shrink to diagnose schizophrenia which she could fake but probably really does have.

You keep talking like this about coffee and you're gonna need energy to run from me.

I can't even find the study because they don't say where it was published, it's not on her research gate or scopus and You doesn't appear to have a google scholar page. I just took this from the article saying 1.6-2.4 was moderate anger.

From the article:

"How much do social and political issues make you angry, even if they don't involve you?" The social and political issues mentioned included: the corruption issues of politicians, the government hiding its faults, biased reporting by journalists, tax evasion and tragedies sparked by insufficient safety measures.

These might not "involve" me but political corruption certainly affects me and it's completely reasonable to be angry about it. It's just bad research based on a flawed premise.

died while under general anaesthetic on Wednesday after undergoing a routine diagnostic

So they killed it.

GAB disabling media uploads for free tier from next month. Already a small exodus to fedi. Will be interesting to see if this starts a death cycle.

I use a vpn but I often forget so probably best to just walk away rather than watch IP's get exposed. Could use tor but can't be arsed tbh.
