Imagine subscribing to the community of a browser you use or are interested in, then downvoting them trying to encourage folks to join the Fediverse via a Mastodon server they run. smh this place gets more like Reddit every day lately.

social.vivaldi.net is open for everyone. You don't need an Vivaldi account to join it. The only difference is, if you have an Vivaldi account, with it you can access it's instance without the need of a new account, simply clicking in the Mastodon icon which Vivaldi has in it's webpanel by default.

That's incorrect. social.vivaldi.net uses your vivaldi.net account details for the account. It's detailed on the sign up page: https://login.vivaldi.net/profile/id/signup

Emphasis added.

With a Vivaldi account, you can synchronize your Vivaldi browser data, participate in forum discussions, connect with people on an open social network (@[email protected]), and host a blog on Vivaldi.net (YourUsername.vivaldi.net).

Yes, as Vivaldi user you can use your Vivaldi account to enter in social.vivaldi.net, but you can also create an account direct in this instance, like in any other, without an Vivaldi account, it's open for everyone like any other Mastodon instance. In my home timeline there are several user which are not Vivaldi users.

Instead of a "no" response, no response would have been sufficient.
