I used SearX/SearXNG metasearch engine for years now. Works great.
It would be a bold move. Knowing that Intel and AMD backed off because of Nvidia not supporting transitional layers, it wouldn't entirely help them with antitrust regulators, since they would just be enforcing their own monopoly.
Most instances I have seen, including this one, has strong rules around hate speech. Maybe I'm lucky since I don't interact with lemmy.world

That's what people complained about in the few recent posts I saw about Epic Games and Steam in this community.
At the very least, Lemmy users care. They continually claim that's their number one issue with Epic Games as an alternative to Steam.

It literally didn't. All it used was API endpoint, which by definition is not proprietary.

Right to repair is about ownership. If a company can take away features or product you paid for, you don't own it, you rent it.

I have a lot of respect for her for trying to create a safe environment for the trans community, but not allowing respectful discussions even if you disagree with the argument made is not helpful. Kind of opposite of inclusive behavior.
