Well, for every one living configuration of your body there are billions of dead ones. So I'd argue being dead is the natural state of things and being alive the exception. And as Buddhism acknowledges: Live is suffering and every living thing is trying to avoid suffering.

Everything in our universe acts to increase entropy, it is one of the most fundemental laws of nature. The highest entropy, most natural state a being can occupy is death, as life is a low entropy system that requires constant energy to occupy.
If entropy works in the same way for the world of DnD, then I would argue that bringing things back to life via necromancy defies nature itself, and should be treated as such.
