Edit: Just for folks who may not understand: Harris has to walk a fine rhetorical line before the election. Nobody said that the state of Israel has been around for 1,000 years, they're saying conflict over the land of Israel (Southern Levant) has existed for 1,000 years. Actually, it's more like 3,000 years.
If your chronology of events here starts in 1948, you're omitting a shitload of context as to why rights over this region are so contested.
