this was on purpose. the World Central Kitchen notified the IDF about their movement, and their vehicles were clearly marked. there is no way this was an accident. the IDF purposely killed aid workers delivering food to Gaza. if this isn't an indicator of their genocidal intentions, i don't know what is

[–] vind 116 points 6 months ago (1 children)

It also wasn't just 1 car, they hit 3 separate WCK cars 1km apart from each other. Killing 7 international aid workers.

[–] Maggoty 24 points 6 months ago (1 children)

Jesus took a shit. And people are buying Israel's story about it being an accident?

[–] [email protected] 10 points 6 months ago

The ones whose paycheck depends on believing it, yeah. Everyone that received support from AIPAC, the mainstream media, etc. They just need the thinnest excuse to parrot and somehow manage to live with themselves.

[–] [email protected] 48 points 6 months ago

This was 100% about stopping the WCK food shipment from cyprus, https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/second-ship-loaded-with-gaza-aid-cyprus-says-charity-2024-03-14/

Stop the genocide now!

[–] [email protected] 1 points 6 months ago (1 children)

Worse, they purposely targeted and killed an American, and our government will still supply them weapons. Israel can do whatever the hell it wants with no punishment. I’m so disgusted at this point. Definatley not voting for Genocide Joe now.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 6 months ago (3 children)

would you rather Trump be in office instead?

The World Central Kitchen charity suspended delivery of food to starving Palestinians on Tuesday - this was the real goal of the attack.

[–] lennybird 45 points 6 months ago

Yep. Israel will just investigate themselves and say whoopsies but the message couldn't have been more clear.

They're fucking evil.

[–] Maggoty 28 points 6 months ago

Not just them. Several aid and medical NGOs are leaving now.

[–] Maggoty 87 points 6 months ago (4 children)

Israel claims it was unintentional.

This is the fourth clearly marked and coordinated aid convoy that I can recall getting hit just from news stories.

The only thing unintentional about this was killing passport holders from western countries. This is a clear pattern of targeting aid convoys.

[–] [email protected] 22 points 6 months ago

I bet that was intentional as well. Their strategy is to starve Gaza, and after these killings all international aid agencies are pulling out. No food will be going in. It's the same with their targeting of reporters and their families: they don't want information to come out either.

[–] lennybird 21 points 6 months ago (1 children)

Intentional or blatantly incompetent, it's quite clear that Israel is using the same playbook as Putin when he strikes civilians in Ukraine.

[–] Aceticon 9 points 6 months ago* (last edited 6 months ago) (4 children)

Israel is way worse than Putin: all it takes is looking at the numbers of civilian deaths in merelly the first month of the Israelli attack on Gaza compared to the whole of the Invasion of Ukraine.

Not excusing Putin by the way, just pointing out how much more extreme Israel is in the Fascist scales.

You get the impression that Putin has no care at all about human life, but he is not driven by extreme racism, whilst Israel most definitelly is driven by extreme racism and hence they're activelly trying to exterminate an entire etnic group whom they call "human animals" which is why we keep on seeing from them all varieties of barbarous acts, not just bombings with massive "building" (500lb) and "residential block" (2000lb) wipping bombs and targetting humanitarian vehicles like this but even the use white posphurous against civilians and snipping of childrem.

Next to them Putin is merely a Fascist whilst Israel are full-on Nazis.

was killing passport holders from western countries

I think that was intentional too, it's aimed at scaring the volunteers.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 6 months ago (1 children)

Getting called out for it was unintentional.

This murder was so precise you can still read the marking on roof.

Edit: Hey look a coward let us know their presence by downvoting and not replying. Typical behavior from someone who supports killing civilian volunteers that are trying to minimize a genocide.

Precision Murder

Let’s please call it what it is.

[–] [email protected] 46 points 6 months ago* (last edited 6 months ago) (2 children)

Anyone notice how Israel is apologetic for killing foreign aid workers but treats the deaths of non-combatant Palestinians with complete and utter indifference?

[–] [email protected] 33 points 6 months ago (2 children)

Are they even apologetic? They're just doing the classic cop thing of 'investigating' this incident for the next 2 years until we all forgot about this because they went on to do even worse shit.

Look at how they slow walked the admission that they (probably purposefully) murdered Shireen Abu Akleh (Also an American citizen BTW) by first accusing Palestinians, then settling on the wild story of multiple stray bullets hitting her in the back behind cover.

No consequences for that, and they've just kept escalating more and more since.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 6 months ago

The Israeli president and prime minister have apologized. Not saying that's anywhere near enough, but it is an official apologetic stance.

Dehumanize the enemy so you don't feel bad about killing them. A classic genocide tactic.

[–] [email protected] 43 points 6 months ago (1 children)

You think?

It was a small enough projectile that hit right directly on one small truck with enough destructive power to kill the occupants but not so much that it would completely blow up the entire vehicle.

Can't get any more precise than that ... unless it was a sniper that would just shoot one person.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 6 months ago

It hit 3 aid trucks 1km apart from each other

[–] RealFknNito 42 points 6 months ago

Whaaaat? You're telling me that the IDF, the only ones in the region with airstrike capabilities are responsible for the three separate and highly coordinated attacks on clearly marked food aid vehicles for starving Palestinians? Surely it was Hamas, the group that would only serve to benefit from these vehicles making their way into Gaza to feed their starving people as well as themselves.

In other news, sky blue.

[–] [email protected] 36 points 6 months ago

Usually not the biggest fan of bellingcat because they tend to be overconfident (and often wrong as a result), but when you have a surplus of information like in this case there's little they can deny...

[–] mlg 29 points 6 months ago (1 children)

If Israel can get away with USS Liberty, they can probably get away with about anything.

[–] [email protected] 20 points 6 months ago

They know they can get away with anything, and it's making all of us less safe. I don't get how policy makers in the West don't see that this is going to cause waves of lone wolf attacks in the next decades, especially if they allow Israel to go through with their plan to push Gazans into Egypt.

And that's just taking the purely selfish view, not the obviously morally correct view of not allowing genocides to happen and pushing for justice for all peoples, something nobody in charge in the West outside of Ireland seems to be interested in.

[–] [email protected] 24 points 6 months ago

That's fucked up but not unexpected sadly.

[–] [email protected] 23 points 6 months ago (2 children)

The fact that this nazi state has nukes should terrify us all

[–] [email protected] 2 points 6 months ago* (last edited 6 months ago)

I think a lot of people just think they will steal Palestine and then be satisfied, forgetting that greed, arrogance, and lebensraum know no bounds. Why would Israel want tons of fighter jets? It's not to wipe out a million starving Palestinians in Gaza, you don't need jets for that. And this should come as no surprise, since David Ben-Gurion said that the success of the 1948 U.N. partition plan of Palestine was part of a larger plan:

Zionist leaders, in particular David Ben-Gurion, viewed the acceptance of the plan as a tactical step and a stepping stone to future territorial expansion over all of Palestine.

and the early terrorist groups that established Israel and the IDF also expressly stated expansion was their aim:

Irgun emblem. The map shows both Mandatory Palestine and the Emirate of Transjordan, which the Irgun claimed in its entirety for a future Jewish state. The acronym "Etzel" is written above the map, and "raq kach" ("only thus") is written below.

Fun fact about the 1948 U.N. partition plan:

The Arab Higher Committee, the Arab League and other Arab leaders and governments rejected it on the basis that in addition to the Arabs forming a two-thirds majority, they owned a majority of the lands.[20][21] They also indicated an unwillingness to accept any form of territorial division,[22] arguing that it violated the principles of national self-determination in the UN Charter which granted people the right to decide their own destiny.

And Israel bribed, threatened, and offered loans (given by the U.S.) to countries to vote in favor of the partition plan, so anyone who supports Israel on the basis of justice or fairness really doesn't have a leg to stand on.

In that link, the section Reports of pressure against the Plan shows just how anti-semitic Zionism is.

Anything with 2 legs in Palestina which is not Israeli is a Hamas terrorist /s

[–] [email protected] 5 points 6 months ago (1 children)

There might have been a Hamas base hidden underneath those trucks! /s

[–] [email protected] 5 points 6 months ago

I think all ants in Gaza are Hahamas, since they built tunnels everywhere.

No uninvolved ants!

[–] [email protected] 21 points 6 months ago

It seems IDF has a serious drug induced psychosis. Hamas everywhere!!!!!

[–] Mrkawfee 21 points 6 months ago* (last edited 6 months ago) (2 children)

Zionists can murder whoever they like and Western governments will defend the killers.

We can only conclude that there are a lot of closet Nazi-level Fascists amongst western power elites.

[–] [email protected] 16 points 6 months ago

That makes it sound like there was any doubt. No, even they admit it. They just swear it was three precision oopses up and down a 2 kilometer stretch, on a convoy that was phoned in and clearly marked.

[–] [email protected] 15 points 6 months ago

Israel is an enemy of everything good.

[–] [email protected] 14 points 6 months ago* (last edited 6 months ago) (1 children)

Israel has been touting the WCK as an alternative to UNRWA. This actually hurts their image. If this is indeed a precision strike, I wonder if there are competing factions within the Israeli military, with diverging agendas...

[–] rockSlayer 18 points 6 months ago (1 children)

Nah, the IDF just wants to starve children to death. Killing aid workers is a bonus to them.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 6 months ago

Diverging IDF agendas: "Should we bomb the children or starve them?"

[–] [email protected] 6 points 6 months ago

This is the best summary I could come up with:

The food charity World Central Kitchen (WCK) said they had coordinated the convoy’s movements with the Israel Defense Forces.

In response to the strike, the IDF stated that it “is conducting a thorough review at the highest levels to understand the circumstances of this tragic incident.”

Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Tuesday the aid workers were killed in an “unintended strike.”The destroyed vehicles bear the hallmarks of a precision strike, which only the IDF has the capability to conduct in the region.

The WCK said: “the convoy was hit as it was leaving the Deir al-Balah warehouse, where the team had unloaded more than 100 tons of humanitarian food aid brought to Gaza on the maritime route.”

Although not possible to be certain without fragments of the munition itself, the WCK vehicles bear the hallmarks of a precision strike by inert or low-yield missiles.

Some, called “electro-optically guided” are physically directed to their target by an operator watching a TV feed, such as the Spike NLOS.

The original article contains 979 words, the summary contains 168 words. Saved 83%. I'm a bot and I'm open source!

[–] [email protected] 2 points 6 months ago

Uh oh! If Israel kills 3 or 400 more Aid Workers they might only get a COUPLE of Fighter Jets instead of a TON of Fighter Jets from Biden!

[–] [email protected] 1 points 6 months ago

These are the hallmarks of either anti-personel smart bombs or drones. The small bombs can penetrate a vehicle and blow up in a small radious. The concusive force and/or shrapnel/blades is what kills.

Perhaps, something like this?

https://taskandpurpose.com/news/hellfire-r9x-drone-strike-al-zawahiri/

They are also used for assassinations since they minimise collateral damage or assets due to their small kill radius in comparison to larger, explosive bombs. If they used drones, then they could likely have a operator guiding them, which is even worse. Since how do you, uh, mis-identify volunteers? Or just hit any vehicles that moved, indiscriminately.
