Bringing the war home for the insulated people living in Moscow may be the thing that finally causes the Russian people to reject the war. Sadly, I have my doubts. They are so thoroughly beaten down with propaganda, it's possible they'll assume it's unprovoked aggression.

That has never really happened in history though. Counterattacks typically harden resolve and serve as justification for the action.

I honestly don't know what people are expecting making Russians feel the war / topping Putin will change. This will likely just create even more anti western sentiment, or even space for more radical groups to emerge.
