These are for foundation repair. When your foundation has big cracks, they seal it from the outside with the gray gunk and then inject this hydraulic epoxy stuff to fill the cracks so that it is once again water-proof. They seal the pipes and leave them in so the epoxy doesn't escape. We have some of them in our basement as well.

Just curious, why do you dislike hedonism? How does that fit into a political/social ideology? This is in no way a challenge.
