None of this made any sense. Until you said "rules of 3".

What agenda is that referencing? I'm out of the loop.

I don't understand the basis of the 24Hz limit rumor. My monitors are 144Hz, and if I limit them to 60Hz and move my mouse around I see fewer residual mouse cursors "after-images" than I do at 144Hz. That's a simplified test that shows that the eye can perceive motion artifacts beyond 60Hz.

The eye can perceive LEDs that are rectified at 60Hz AC, it's very annoying.

I won't accept my pasta at anything lower than 120Hz.

If submerged land can be called continents, where's the line between what is and isn't a continent?

I don't know what conclusion that would give. That they jump into marriage faster? That they're willing to leave a bad situation?

I don't think low divorce rates necessarily correlates to happier people.

The Facebook representative could not answer whether...

This guy's terrible at his job. Even I can answer that one.

Abso-fucking-lutely yes.

At least a fire can happen anywhere.

I also know not to struggle in quicksand and I'd be way more confused if that appeared in my daily routine.

How many fingers are demons and presidential nominees even supposed to have?

Any websites you like or Youtube reviewers? I prefer reviewers who also check out obscure games and actually point out flaws.

Console gaming mostly since PC has Steam reviews that help out.

I've always used Metacritic since it aggregates reviews, but it seems to have gotten worse for searching and finding top lists lately. There's gotta be better sources nowadays.

Scrolling on lemmy.world gets confusing when new posts are added to the page periodically. I prefer content remaining static until I refresh. Is there a way to configure that?
