No, no. Shes an incredible job builder and businesswoman. The odds of such a business mastermind being born to a mining magnate were very low, but she beat those odds. Nothing to do with the fortune of her birth.

Didn't know that was a thing. Glad to find out. Gives purpose.

Yes but joker made moneybas it was pretty good and was different to expectations.

This sounds like it wasnt. Although, it does sound a little different to what I expected.

Its a booked frog strategy. Chrome used to be great and was quite open. The internet has ramped up advertising in general, tracking in general. So, ad blockers became more commonly used. So it started to hurt them much more. Its a self perpetuating problem of cat and mouse. Chrome being the platform while owned by the largest advertising company was never going to end well.

However, there's not much between browsers these days in terms of technical ability. So, hopefully the trickle of movers becomes a wave. Open standards and competition are better for everyone.

As with everything, it also matters where it hits.

Katrina and New Orleans's levees was a big deal. Helene flooding areas many moles from the coast in high altitude areas.

There have been bigger hurricanes that do less damage and likely there will be future weaker ones that do more.

It would be cheaper to buy an iPhone than make a realistic fake. The issue is that apple can't tell the difference and can be scammed over offering new replacements for duds.

Usually with the arrs, downloads are not triggered by setting changes. If it sees a movie OE show that you have monitored, which matches better, it will download it. However, you can trigger a manual search.

So over time you may get them gradually depending on how popular they are. For anything you want now, you'd need to search. Depending on your library size, you can trigger a search for all, but that risks huge amounts of data and space usage immediately.

Men. Who uses cash?

I'd prefer free, unneeded and slightly less availalable than everywhere, necessary and rip off.

Yes but thats the point. You could offer the option. This site is trying to block open standards. We can apply a fix to correct it. Would you like to Tell site to fix it/Apply fix/Leave unsafe site

Then you have all options.

Lol, you do realise that chrome does many more. They were recently discovered to allow extra access to google meet over competitors. So not just creepy, but anticompetitive.

I think a more aggressive approach would be better for sites that dont offer compatibility with Firefox.

Do a pop up that asks the user to help make chsnge. First few users to encounter the site could be asked to see if they could find the contact details to let the site know about the problem. Once that is correct, following users could be asked to message them to let them know its a problem.

Keep upping the volume with bad publicity about their website not following standards and bekgn deficient and they will change.

Yes, but countries are starting to implement carbon taxes on trade with each other. So countries that don't reduce would be tarriffed higher, to counteract this problem.

It is also why most agreements are multinational with targets to be met.

I’m trying to set containers for some websites on a shared windows terminal with multiple users under the same login. We use some cloud software and each user has their own log in. Manually opening websites in container manager allows this, but I’m struggling to do so for opening in container for the home page.

Each log in just launches in the default container (unassigned). I’ve tried using bookmark tree, which seems to support containers, but I can’t get it to work. Assigning a site to always open in a container doesn’t seem to work either as it’s the same site for multiple users (which seems to be the purpose of multi account container), so if it always opens in container A, person B still needs to manually open in their container.

I just recently got the 190 update pushed. It mentioned lots of fixes. One was image handling.

I have found that now exiting an image is a bit slow or glitchy. A single gesture to go back does not exit and instead it needs two. Tapping an image instead still closes it but there is a delay that wasnt there before.

I'm on a pixel 7pro with gesture navigation.

My phone coverage stopped for a period. I was using connect at the time and a comment failed. I initially thought it was a big but noted after restarting, it still was out. Then I checked with a test search to find it was all internet.

A few minutes later internet was back. Went back into Lemmy and refreshed. No data showing. I checked down-for-me for my instance and it was up. Refreshed again. No data.

Again restarted app and it was fine then. So, it seems he connection outage did not allow refresh after it came back, despite a restart during the outage.
