I don’t live in TX but have the “opportunity” to move there for work if I want. It’s shit like this (and this is only the proverbial tip of the iceberg) that keeps me saying “NO”. What a shithole of a state (Gov Abbott, really).

I’m just ranting at this point…

Woah, had no idea this existed. Must acquire.

He’s really challenging the “technically correct is best correct” adage.

Maybe a dumb question, but are you saving the settings? If that’s not the issue then yeah, must be a bug. Hopefully one that gets fixed soon!

Edit: another option might be to adjust the kbin settings (not your account settings). Scroll down to the bottom of this thread and you should see a gear icon. In that, turn “top menu” on and at least you can toggle between views more easily!

The ol’ yarn arts dilemma - why buy a thing when I can make one for 10x the cost??

Thanks for the primer! Added bonus, I now understand the function of “copy link to fediverse”. Much obliged.

Ah, I’m on mobile so don’t get the hover option. But when I click on his name it shows he’s from Lemmy.nz?? Hmm.

I’m not seeing it in kbin either. Perhaps Dave has joined us from elsewhere!

Ooh I did not realize this but it makes sense.

A dumb follow-up then if I may… if I don’t see a particular magazine I’m looking for (so it either doesn’t exist or no one from this site has subscribed to it yet), how do I search other instances to see if it exists anywhere else?

This is a great analogy. I also like the comparison to emails - doesn’t matter if you’re on Yahoo or Gmail or AOL (we’re still out here!), you can communicate with each other seamlessly, though your user experiences (email features, layouts, etc) may differ.

You can change your default view in settings.
