Yes, Miss Tress.
“Like I believe anything ending in .gov” was the response I got when I posted that page.
Also, they posted a photo from their daughter who is there of an older guy in camo pants (with built-in knee pads) and a tan shirt, with a gun strapped to his thigh and sunglasses tucked into the collar of his beer-belly filled shirt, in front of a chain linked fence, with a bunch of similarly dressed ~~rednecks~~ “fema workers” in the background organizing “supplies”. 🙄
I’m an above-middle-aged white man who lives in America. The first thing people think about when they see a swastika is not a symbol of divinity and spirituality. It’s unfortunate, but it is reality.
Huh. Not where I thought that was going. 😁
It’s been 20+ years and I’ll never forget that ending. Totally messed up.
Stanford has a free introduction course. There is also edX.
Now, I’ve only taken an introduction into cybersecurity at a graduate level, and I will say it’s a difficult career path to master. I’m not saying that to dissuade you, but rather give you a reasonable expectation of the level of effort. But it’s a super fascinating area of computing, and it’s certainly not going away any time soon.
Edit: Oh, and I forgot to mention Bioinfomatics where you could put your existing medical knowledge to use in a computing career.
A lot of technical positions are not getting replaced by computers. Especially cybersecurity.
Yeah, but can we not have the swastika on the back?
In my neighborhood, they are more concerned with FEMA confiscating donations and locking them behind a fence.
Sigh. I really need to start screenshotting these conversations sooner before they get removed.
That has some The Mist vibes going for it.
Given what I’ve witnessed neighbors posting on NextDoor about government-controlled weather as a conspiracy to drive down land prices, and how “fema is stealing donations”, I’m going to go out on a limb to suggest that it does matter because most people aren’t quite detail oriented as you’re expecting them to be.
