If Twitter ran for decades on a loss, so will OpenAI. Worst case scenario they get completely absorbed by MS and have the bill footed by them. Kind of what happened with Youtube.

You don’t even need to be told. NFTs were very obviously stupid. I guess it’s true that the fool and his money is easily parted.

How is this better than a centralized database? You can just go to the event organizer's website and check the original price for the ticket.

I didn't want to come off as condescending, but your original comment was formed in such a way that it would lead to misunderstanding since you only mentioned the heritage part, which IMO should not be the most important aspect of picking a religion.

I don't have any religious heritage myself. I was raised by agnostic and completely irreligious parents, although I did go to a catholic school growing up. I'm an atheist myself but I understand why people feel drawn to religions and why believing in a higher power makes certain aspects of life easier. I've studied religions quite a bit though, and as a philosophy and way of life I tend to agree more with the teachings of Christianity. At least I like to think that is my rationale speaking and not simply my upbringing.

Ok but not everything revolves around trans people's issues. Can we be glad for a positive development for once, or will we remove everything that does not 100% agree with our view of the world from the fediverse?

So you don't believe in it?

The single instances will probably have issues with scaling, especially the bigger ones. They should find a way to push potential users to sign up on other instances.

Probably most. It will be interesting to see how many people jump to lemmy once the API changes happen though.
