This hsppens in an Atlantis episode, "The Shrine," and the gate seems to work. Atlantis has the shield up, luckily, so the water from the dial-in doesn't come through from the flooded gate. The gate does not shut down normally, however, due to water continually attempting to pass through and requires the 38-minute buffer to close the connection. Once it closes, Atlantis dials back out to the flooded gate and sends a jumper through.

This might be the way to get her to listen: suggest that if it is what she says, it's so rare that it should be insured by a reputable insurance company.
Why, hello there, little flickertail!

Duluth, Minnesota, tried to do some control for absent landlords, requiring that landlords live within or have a representative within X miles of the rental. Unfortunately, all that did was make management companies more overbearing when owners turned to them to be the local contact.
I love it when people do the fork hatch marks! I know a bunch of people who don't, and I swear the cookies taste wrong without them. ๐
