I mean... It's one of the reasons I like it so much here.

Where I live, we have a special phone line we can call to talk with a nurse. While most people know when to call 911, when your unsure what to do, the nurse can give you tips, tell you when and if to book an appointment in a clinic, when a pharmacist could be of any help, or what to do to treat yourself if you don't need medication (like, drink this, apply hot or cold somewhere, etc).

The Rust Plague

After an asteroid crashed on earth, some alien pathogen spread in air and water. The entire world population now rusts as they age. They can peel the rust, but it always comes back.

Prompt : One baby with smooth skin, one dad with slightly rusty skin, and an old lady whose skin is entirely made of rust. (Meta AI)

I was about to make the same suggestion. But the extra step will be a lot to manage. Not an easy problem.

I wish there was more participants or voters. But that would make the initial problem bigger. And the solution harder to find.

I'm surprised I got 2nd place to be honest! Thank you.

Agreed on sky bridge! Or like, those walkable moving sidewalks, you know, that people thought would exist in the future, decades ago?

I felt that things are looking pretty dire nowadays. So I decided to go with something that sounds positive for me.

Prompt : A futuristic solarpunk city on an alien planet, with buildings covered in vertical gardens and solar panels. Solar-powered airships float in the sky, while wind turbines and sleek electric vehicles move through lush streets filled with exotic flora. People live in harmony with nature, tending to community gardens and harvesting renewable energy. The city integrates with the natural landscape, bathed in bright sunlight, embodying sustainable and eco-friendly living. Trees have blue and purple leaves.

Their return to The Key is interrupted by an emergency call from a mysterious ship, leading to an encounter with a sentient AI. The AI’s final words leave Lyra stunned, as a shocking revelation unfolds.

Prompt: Skeletor from The Masters of the Universe, with his blue skin and yellow skull face, walking on the catwalk during a fashion show and wearing a super extravagant orange costume, with an extra wide orange hat, extra high heels on his shoes, and purple spots all over his costume. He is holding a staff which is adorned with a goat's skull. --s 250 --v 6.1

Theme

Times are hard for supervillains, and some of them are trying their luck at modeling for fashion shows. And like real fashion shows, it's always a little ridiculous or cringe. The more ridiculous, extravagant, excentric, the better. I was about to say that you shouldn't use the supervillain's associated color (like Skeletor is usually blue or purple), however, some might use supervillains from Anime or some other media I'm not aware of, so I didn't create a rule for that. However, I suggest not to use their usual color. If you use Darth Vader, don't make him wear something black :)

Like previous entries, take your time! Some of you can be super fast (me included) and the early bird often catches the worm. So for this challenge I’m subtracting a point for anyone who posts within 24 hours. It's not ideal, and I know it's not something everybody likes, but we should settle that outside the contest I think.

I won't upload more as I have 50 panels for this week's story. But you can read the full entry, as well as all past entries, in these two places :

Happy reading!

TL;DR : I create weekly SF comics just for the fun of it, using screenshots, AI and FIgma, and you can read them on my Facebook page.

So, I'm following the podcast "Starfield with normal people", and participate to their weekly Starfield Adventure Club that's organized on their Discord server. This eventually made me want to create a Starfield cartoon.

I never thought I had such a talent for storytelling. After a very tough 2023, Starfield helped me go through depression. And now those comics are part of my recovery as well. But things are not always fun, and I think it would encourage me to get feedback and ideas from readers.

I use a lot of AI to help me with this comic, which is the most fun part. ChatGPT helps me with dialogues. I feed him what I want my characters to say and he suggest lines, which I often combine for the funniest effect. I've been using some Midjourney as well for cover pages and especially for the prologue in the first episode. For those who want to know, I use Figma to put all of that together.

In this post, I uploaded my one favorite panel of each episode (I have 14 so far). Hope you'll enjoy.

If you want to read my comic, and get updates, the easiest way is through my Facebook page. I also post them on DeviantArt, but this website is making things super hard to any non-paying member and I don't know how long i'll keep using it.

You don't have to love it, or even read it. Just be nice please. I'm getting through shit.

Thanks, all!

Hi beer lovers. I'm just finishing a trip in Belgium and Amsterdam. I tried a lot of beers during my stay. I took notes.

While I'm sure I can find some/most of the beers I've tasted back home in Canada, I was wondering if there is an app, or a website, that can recommend other beer based on my own tastes. Like, if I rate the beer I drink based on my tastes, the engine could recommend other beers of a cumuler kind and taste.

I've been searching such a tool for half an hour and I didn't find anything that resembles this.

All the beer apps I've found so far were to rate beer, and find local places where they sell your favourite beer. I want to discover new beers.

Any suggestions?
