Same. I keep reading “Use a von” everywhere but I just assume that’s a US thing. In Western Europe I never heard of a single country giving a shit about this

Visually this might be a 0/10 (1/10 for me because it reminds me of Gmod) but who knows; gameplay-wise it might be a 6/10. That’s still better than Gollum, which scores 0/10 on both criteria. We’ll see

Can someone explain to me why you use private trackers? Is it because of the possibility to request older stuff etc? Would love to know the advantages compared to torrentgalaxy for example

[–] Targox 1 points 1 year ago

Right, I forgot, it’s quite the prologue

Did you like Unity? Because I’m in the minority that didn’t like Unity. Love to hear someone’s opinion who says “most fun since Black Flag”, man that game was awesome

[–] Targox 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Wait how are you replying with an image. I’m not seeing a button for this anywhere in the “reply to comment” screen

Facetime screen sharing is really great

Never before have I sern them recycle product cards from the year before. Looks like the Ultra 2 is like the new Apple TV 4K, very small update. Why not just skip a year?

But.. double tap already exists through Accessibility. Or am I missing something?

[–] Targox 1 points 1 year ago

I’m most hyped about the 14 pro lowering in price, but surprise me Apple!

Euhm. Bought one like a week ago. It does seem to work as expected, what is wrong with these exactly?

No clue. I’m not sure about Reddit but Lemmy is very anti LLM’s and AI for some reason. It’s speeding up almost everyone’s (work) life around me and making life simply easier, but whenever I come on Lemmy I see a whole different angle on these topics

⚙️ Embed 2.0

Modularity: Features are split into modules, loading only what's needed per page. For example, if Stripe isn't needed, it doesn't load.

Asynchrony: This mechanism initiates requests or logic as the page begins to load, instead of post-loading.

👀 Element visibility

When elements are set to hidden, they're now removed from the DOM.

This boosts app speed by limiting the number of active DOM elements. Ingesloten video

🆙 Lists improvements

In Embed 1.0, a change in a list causes the entire list to re-render. In embed 2.0 it only updates the affected item.

Clones are now recycled instead of being removed.

Template elements are removed from the DOM, and are stored in memory for reference.

📝 Using

This update enhances the accessibility of our forms. Examples include:

  • Using the keyboard. Submitting a form and initiating a request by pressing Enter.
  • Accessing form submission data.
  • Real-time updates (Firebase)
  • Re-rendering the list upon submission.

📍 Computed Variables

The usage of variables has been expanded with computed variables.

If both variable 2 and variable 3 are true, then variable 1 is also set to be true. If any of these dependencies change, it's automatically recalculated.

🧱 New Blocks API

This lets you interact with your application and construct logic based on its data. For instance, you can:

  • Detect when a list re-renders or a list item gets updated.
  • Identify when an element is hidden/displayed, a class is added, or text is changed.

Configurator reactivity

This greatly enhances the development experience!

No need to reload the canvas when adding or modifying an action, or creating a new data-in or data-out request.

🆕 New code editor

Our current method involves writing JavaScript-like functions within {{ braces }} for logic. With the new code editor, we employ full JavaScript to write logic.

🔳 Dashboard redesign

The project overview is being redesigned, providing a better overview of all ongoing projects and faster access to recently edited ones.

Plus, there are whispers about a configurator redesign.

🔢 Version control

Developers can now manually select the application's running version.

This ensures applications remain functional, preventing disruptions from new updates.

Slow Tailscale speed (self.tailscale)

I'm only getting an average of 9.21 Mbps from my Synology NAS to my remote Mac device. My NAS is connected to LAN with an internet speed of +-300Mbps. I don't expect 300Mbps through Tailscale, but a 80-100Mbps would suffice.

  • Both are on 1.44.0
  • It's a direct connection, no derp
  • Average ping is 33ms

I'm clueless, anyone? Thanks

IKEA filed two test reports with the FCC this month for sensors that can be added to a smarthome network. They are the Parasoll, a sensor to measure whether a window or door is open or closed. And the Valhorn, a motion sensor
