I never really got the “heart stop = dead” thing like yes, if you’re heart stops you’re going to die, but even when someone is beheaded, they are still conscious enough for a few seconds to blink their eyes in response to questions. Ok so this headline seems a bit misleading after reading the actual article itself. They basically did two sessions one with a placebo and one without for every participant and looked at their brains response to pain under LSD. They only saw how the drug changed the pain response/neural pathways while on the drug. They didn’t do any testing on any lingering effects post-session. To me “reshapes the brain” implies some kind of long term effect like vapes can from just one hit.
