Endorsing a candidate or a party places an additional seal of approval on the actions and beliefs of that candidate/party. There's a difference between saying "between ham or fish, I pick fish" and "I believe fish is the right choice for everyone, fish has qualities that I myself would like to emulate and believe in".

She's a pop singer who seemingly upset a lot of internet people (but not many real people) for saying "yeah, I'm voting for Kamala, but I won't endorse her because the democratic party hasn't done enough for the LGBTQ or minority groups and I'm not keen on the Israel support thing"

Wait hold on, Californian's wouldn't go for it, but splitting them up into two blue states and one red state grabs 4 new Democrat senators (maybe) and 2 republican ones, allows California Republicans the chance to build the state they say they dream about, and gives the rest of the rural US a NEW California to bitch about

I like this

People don't often grasp the Paradox of Tolerance and how it applies to others.

If your 'opinion' is hateful rhetoric that trends towards intolerant towards the views of others, it is outside of the circle and is not/can not be tolerated.

It's not an echo chamber to say "we don't argue about the existence/rights of lgbtq+ folks" in regular spaces. This isn't the place for the conversation, and even if it was, the conversation has already been had. If you want that anachronistic shit in your own spaces, sure, but here in the modern world we've already come together in belief that that hokey old world shit doesn't play.

But 21 times before you come in, with another song thrown in about 12 or so in just to confuse them

From the source you listed (because I have heard of the magazines but didn't look much into it ag the time) the author posits that the two books that had pictures of children were a gift from a fan, and the second he includes an inscription from Jackson discussing the joy of youth he's seeing in the images and that he's sad he didn't have that kind of childhood. Which, weird, but not damning to me.

But I couldn't find a credible source for the "showing children pornography" portion you mentioned, do you have anything for that? My impression so far has been 'weird dude, if I knew him I still probably wouldn't let my kids sleep over but I wouldn't let my kid sleep over ANY adult's house, especially not a celebrity'.
