does donation count? There are a few nonprofits in my area that Id probably give it too. Other than that wipe my mortgage and student debt, buy a new car, and a couple of suits probably. Man being an adult is boring.

regurgitating talking points from a third party and the inability to distinguish between divisive issues and issues of difference. I

am a college professor and pastor and when I teach theology there is a crazy high instance of people who just spit out exactly what their favorite celebrity pastor says and immediate decide that it trumps whatever you are saying. Then they are unwilling to yield any bit of their position and get offended that you disagree.

disagreements do not need to be so divisive. The constant need for affirmation shows that you actually have no idea what you are talking about

I'm also a new user but I enjoy the fact that this place is not reddit. I understand what you're getting at, but the more we parallel reddit the more this place will just tumble down the same content hellhole reddit did. Why not enjoy the distinction and let the communities be what they already are... Communities.

I agree with you, in the long run will I utilize niche subreddits to read product reviews, recommendations or troubleshoot issues? sure. Will I use it for advice when working on my cars? you betcha...

But will I maintain an account, post, and doom scroll /popular or /all? Never again

9th gen Kindle Oasis. The metal body and contour is very nice to hold. I do wish I wasnt wrapped up in the Amazon ecosystem but the device itself is superb. Im a Pastor and college professor and I consume a lot of books through it, it's nice for at home or in the office but it's a bit cumbersome to just carry around.

I also read on my phone a lot as well because it's always with me. Can't do long stretches but it beats doom scrolling

I understand exactly the type of user you are describing but you have to acknowledge the irony in how you feel about preserving the culture of Lemmy and calling these specific redditors elitist

I mean come on dude.

Threaded comment trees make such a huge difference. I'm always reminded of how much I like them when I am scouring auto forums looking for answers to issues on my jeep lol

Granny Smith apples and raw almonds, sun flower seeds, spicy peanuts in the shell.. really any seed or nut. And freaking clementines. I don't care how old I get I will always love cuties.
