The people who believe this crap firmly believe themselves to be well informed because they uncritically consume CNN, NYTs, NPR, etc., etc., on a regular basis, while simultaneously believing large swathes of their fellow citizens have been brainwashed by Russian and Chinese tweets and memes. They cannot fathom that the multi-billion dollar U.S. owned corporate media companies they get their ‘news’ from is propaganda that manipulates how they think about issues, but readily believe that somehow foreign memes and internet tolls have great influence over the public discourse. They are completely detached from reality and have zero ability to think critically or self-reflect, let alone provide you with any sources for their xenophobic conspiracy theories. The credulous reception of ntd.com on this forum is just sad.

You are maybe confusing communism for socialism. Communism is stateless by definition. Socialism is the phase of development before communism is achieved in which the people indirectly own the means of production through the state.
