I ran across that place by way of one of those r/subsithoughtifellfor chains, and read some posts trying to figure out if it was real, or just a complicated joke.

It was not a complicated joke.

I don’t really care if you piss in your sink or not, but does it really require discussion with a community of like-minded peers? It’s not philosophy or higher maths, what is there, really, to say?

Just riding your coat tails to point out another fun tidbit about the Aeropress, which is that it’s very portable! I pack mine anytime I travel, and there are even a few hand-crank grinders that will fit nicely into the Aeropress cylinder itself - so that all you need are tasty beans and hot water!

I’ve tried lots of great local coffees just by hitting up the local grocery stores or coffee houses, and brewing them up at our hotel or BnB!

I splurged and got one where you can control the water temperature!

I’ve never been an “I can only poo at my house” person, but now I’m like “I can probably just wait…” I know what you mean when you say that not using one feels like being a caveman.

It’s a good meme, but honestly… remembering this quote has seen me through a few dark patches over the last couple years

I AM a little on the fence, as many others are - I haven’t deleted my 10yr Reddit account, st least not yet. But I WILL stay off the platform for at least a month. I intend to be very limited in my interactions there, for the foreseeable future, and only visit for specific reasons, not to just browse. I intend to spend the time I WOULD have spent, in finding similar communities here instead.

They’re really active in the Midwest US right now, putting lots of pressure on local school boards to ban books, make life harder for LGBTQ+ kids, etc.
