Forums.realgm.com is still the best place for basketball talk.

Yeah, it's a learning moment for the fediverse and Lemmy in particular.

You know what would really trigger those folks? Create a Lemmy.trotsky, get half of lemmy.ml to migrate to .Trotsky and see them foaming. Ahah

I'm ready for the era of Parklife!

Not sure were Welt fits in there.

Surprise semi-retirement move from Hammond. Anthony Parker did make the Lakeland team a G-League champion, so that's a better record already than most people out there can show.

Also, some promotions in the structure, namely Pete D'Alessandro moving into VP of Basketball Operations. I have no opinion of him in this role, but I'll say I was not happy when we hired him into our org based on his record with the Kings and how their fan base celebrated getting rid of him.

Yeah, this is going to be a slow start. Offseason, no major news... I'm totally fine with helping you out with this community on EU timezones (Portuguese fan since 1994) once the volume picks up :)

Nice! Barring a major opportunity to do some kind of trade that nobody is seeing, this means our rotation is set. The sooner in the summer, the better. We were a .500 team when healthy, with a team of 23/24 year olds and a mega 20yo rookie. I don't understand the negativity on other places (forums, reddit) around running back the same core with a few extra nice pieces like two lottery rookies and Ingles. If healthy, we're in the playoffs.

Very happy with this pickup. Nice mentor to our young core, and on the plus he can still play some quality minutes spacing our floor (much needed).

Second year is a team option, so that's an even better sweetener for the deal.

I like this signing. He's not going to be an option over any of our starting forwards, but his skillset fits our needs very well for some 10/15 min a night and can mentor our y.oung guys. Contract is fine, IMO.

No Bol guarantees yet, as the final day for the decision on him has moved forward. We have a logjam at the guards position, but I don't see that necessarily as a bad thing in today's league.

Couldn't have happened to a better person.
