I am none of those things and I didn't think it was too complicated, I just had no idea it existed until I joined r/redditalternatives.

I love the old internet feel. Once I saw the fesiverse 'map' it made perfect sense.

The thing I'm struggling with the most is being able to subscribe to communities on some instances with this account but not all instances. And being able to add some instances to an app (liftoff, tusk) but not all. That's the most frustrating for me right now.

I love how I experience music. It is a whole-body experience that most people seem to need substances to experience. Music in 8D with good headphones is better than most concerts I have been to haha. On the flip side to that, physical sensitivities are highly annoying and cause the most grief for sure. While my sensitive hearing produces my favorite experiences with music, it also produces the worst experiences day to day.

I'm currently trying to read Record of a Night too Brief by Hiromi Kawakami. It is written like a dream, it jumps around. I really have no idea what it is about or where the story is going, or if it is a story at all??

I get most of my recent recommendations from Reddit, and tiktok. My library puts great lists on its website, which I like to browse sometimes. I search for finalists and winners of the Booker Prize and Hugo Awards. I have found some great books that didn't actually win the prize. I love going to used bookstores too.

I recently started to read a book from each country, from A Year of Reading the World

Thank you for making this community! I moved over here after leaving Reddit and searched for this immediately. So glad someone made one already :)
