So… for the top menu bar, you copied macOS, complete with an Apple logo. Then, for file explorer, you is copied Windows 10/11. Everything else if your generic Linux distro. What are you trying to accomplish?

My analysis: OP is too dangerous to be left alive.

Here is the Apple logo, for those who missed it:

Yes officer, this is the guy I was talking about.

There is a scientific reason for this. Prepare for minor text wall.

When you fall asleep, your brain erases temporary memory and “closes” permanent memory so that nothing can be stored to it during sleep. This is also the reason you can’t remember what you did a few minutes before falling asleep. Therefore, your dreams are stored in temp memory and you can only remember them for a little bit after waking.

Don’t quote me on this, I found it somewhere, and my somewheres tend to be pretty reliable, but I’m too lazy to fact-check. Feel free to downvote if wrong.

The latter. Only your server admin has your info.

Yeah, the data is used to create profiles of you to serve more relevant ads, so that advertisers pay them more. Thats more accurate once I think about it a little.

Yep, thats true.

I do use a VPN and browse via incognito/Firefox though, so my chances of being tracked are pretty low.

So he can sell your data to advertisers. Yeah, don’t use anything made by Meta that is connected to the internet.

Why does Zuck want to know the browser histories of people on the internet? 😳

Yep, probably will be on the news sometime in 2024. “Driver dies in horrific car crash while wearing a Vision Pro”

A few problems with this:

  • THIS THING ONLY HAS TWO FUCKING HOURS OF BATTERY!!! THE PASSTHROUGH IS POWERED BY CAMERAS, SO IF IT SHUTS DOWN, YOU ARE FUCKING DRIVING BLIND!!!

  • Distracted driving. Yeah, not too smart to watch “Prehistoric Planet” on Apple TV while driving.

  • FOV issues(?). I am guessing the FOV on an XR headset is going to be lower than your actual eyes. This can cause you to crash into something be cause you didn’t see it with your peripheral vision.

Lets say you want to access [email protected] using your .world account. Do not go to lemmy.ml. Stay on lemmy.world, go to the search bar, filter by communities, and type: [email protected]

Why? You can’t log in to a lemmy.world account from lemmy.ml or any other instance besides .world. You can only access things from other instances using the method described above (although you can subscribe to [email protected] from a .world account and have its content appear on your home feed)

Do keep in mind that Lemmy is still in its early stages, and there will be many new features in the future.

Ironically, I accidentally found the saved part yesterday trying to find something I posted, but that was quite an informative guide! However, apparently something you save via the wefwef save button doesn’t actually save, the button seems just for show. Thought it was a .world bug at first, with the influx of Redditors happening yesterday.

On the lemmy.world website, the link is rendered as an image instead of a link. Could this be implemented, or at least something like what Apollo did, the link with a preview below it that you could click to enlarge?
