Not a lawyer, but I believe the level of proof depends on whether its a civil trial like this one, or a criminal trial, like the previous one which fell apart after juror misconduct. So basically the level of proof is lower when it's about dollars rather than jail time.

I'm not sure I can assist too much given I don't get a lot of time on these apps, but if c/Adelaide really blows up, as you said, hopefully there will be some mods from r/Adelaide that might be willing to help. Yeh I also reckon it makes sense to have it here from a moderation sake and also just more easily findable, at least until there's some better ability to merge across different communities

Yup just signed up and was looking around for similar communities. So far there's encouraging signs. I really hope some of the apps out there start supporting Lemmy, I know the sync developer is looking into it.
