Yes, the showrunner (Russell T Davies) confirmed that the show will restart the season/series numbering.

I do love Ncuti Gatwa, he was fantastic in Sex Education and I even wish he'd had a bigger post in Barbie.

Never seen Doctor Who, but I'll start with this season for sure!
