This was so super fun to make and was really impressive to show off when I was done, but I worry that the swoncho style is a little impractical for actually wearing. My recipient was in another state so if I make something in this style for myself I might bring up the sleeve separation. I made it in KP comfy for washability.

Super, super cool!! I made this for my partner a while back, and now I think he might get another!! (Can you see the Moomin, and the Hattie Fattners ??) . (And why, oh why is he sideways??)

This looks amazing! And very comfortable.

How difficult was this pattern? My friend has been pushing me to try it for ages and something like this makes me want to try so bad.

I think it's an excellent way to dive into color work, the charts are easy to follow and the designs are easy to see when knitting, and are repetitive enough that you can get a good groove going.

I have made a Twigs pull over, which has similarly very low arm pits. It isn’t comfortable under a coat but that just means I only wear it in the fall/early spring when I don’t need the extra warmth, but it isn’t a huge issue. Looks great - did you just catch the floats?

Thank you! She put it on and put her arms up and it instantly went all over so I definitely see how it wouldn't work with coat sleeves. Yes I caught them (mostly) every 3 stitches or so.

This is gorgeous!

ooooh, that is gorgeous! I also think those possible modifications would make it more practical, but then, not everything has to always be practical :D
