The WSJ reports that Google started internally testing a new service called Playables, which allows users to play games on YouTube.

Feels like it’s going to end up like Stadia….

The technology of Stadia was always fine - the issue was the business model of charging people $60 for games they'd get questionable future access to. If they can tie it to some kind of live system like YouTube's, that may be fine.

I can't remember where I saw it, but there was a quote a few years ago that said "Stadia is not the future of gaming, it's the future of YouTube." Looks like that prediction may have been accurate.
