5+ mile backup minimum of stop and go traffic leading up to the west bound Chesapeake Bay Bridge.

There is:

10+ miles of 3 lane highway (55mph) before the bridge
3 lanes on the bridge
and 3 lanes for 20+ miles after crossing the bridge.
no toll booths
no signals or speed reductions

after sitting in bumper to bumper traffic for 30min - hour, you finally get to the base of the bridge and then the traffic just magically dissipates and everyone accelerates to the normal 55mph speed.
