Interesting - I find I tend to disconnect when listening to audiobooks (non fiction or other) Perhaps because I listen to music a lot while working/concentrating on other things. I lose track and find I’m not really paying attention to the detail.

I have the opposite, but then I’m not that good with audiobooks to start with. In non fiction, I like the freedom to go back to precious concepts, and audiobooks don’t do it well. Honestly, that’s the reason I like physical books over everything…
Except you'll forget 90% of the content before even finishing the book.
You're probably right but I more so like to enjoy the journey when it comes to reading more than anything
When it comes to listening* 😅 But yes, I get it.
I listen to nonfiction audiobooks too, only when I am sure that the book's content isn't of substantial value to me (e.g. not my academic field).
Yes it is enjoyable if you are not required to remember everything you hear. I have been enjoying listening to "Economics for dummies" occasionally. It's good light reading.
