Yeah. Fifth grade. Standard metal crate, set my book bag on top of it with the dog in it and left for however long. Came back and he had pulled the bag into the crate, shredded it and anything in it. Felt like the coolest person on earth to hand my teacher a parent note confirming the dog ate my homework.

My dog routinely tried to eat books and paper. So no, but it’s definitely in the realm of possibility.

Yep, my dog tore up an english essay when I was in junior high. I still had my rough draft so just rewrote it, luckily I had time. Told my teacher about it, she thought it was pretty funny.

Mine did! I think it was second or third grade (US). I brought the whole shredded thing to school in a plastic bag to prove it. My teacher thought it was funny and just wrote off the assignment because you could see that I had filled it out from graphite marks before it got destroyed.
