My favorite is Pumpernickel! A piece of toasted pumpernickel with butter and a touch of natural peanut butter is a thing of joy for me.

What's yours?

Sourdough. By far. I even like the fake stuff from Kroger. I could probably eat it for every meal if that wouldn’t kill me in a matter of weeks

Just put slices of stuff in between sourdough slices. That way you can get nutrition, and copious amounts of sourdough as well!

Not my idea, some earl or other came up with it a while back. :)

I'm a big fan of oatmeal sandwich loaves, especially toasted with peanut butter and butter.

Is it my favorite over baguette, or zopf, or banana bread? Maybe, but none of them can replace the others. Just keep caraway out of my bread and I'm happy.

Favorite bread? That's like asking "what's your favorite air?" 😆

It'd be quicker to say which breads I'm not fond of: Tuscan bread in general (no salt at all) and plain old white (e.g., Wonder). I love pumpernickel, rye with caraway seeds, pizza bianca, sourdough, challah, real Italian bread, *real * bagels (I detest frozen bagels—by law they shouldn't even be called "bagels" 😆)...oh, the list goes on and on! 🥰🥖

I love sourdough, a close second is soft fluffy milk bread

Having grown up with a Finnish grandmother, a nice dark rye of any kind, or ruisleipä specifically, is best.
