Maybe they block videos from being uploaded all lemmy instances are run by regular people so they probably don't want a bunch of videos taking up all there hard drive space and having no room for discussions I think you should probably post it to YouTube or some other video hosting site and then link to it on lemmy

Hello, I believe there is a limit to upload sizes to keep server space down. Right now I only have 50 GB and about 80% of it is used up. I'm not sure what it is I'll have to ask the devs.
That makes total sense... I'll have to investigate compressing and making GIFs etc to share cat craziness and other /r/abruptchaos, thanks!
