Those who watched with subtitles on may have noticed that the captions frequently didn't match up to what the characters were saying.

I've noticed strange captions too, maybe also on Prime (not sure now) in several shows.

I've wondered if AI shenanigans weren't involved. A non native speaker would be a possibility, but it doesn't seem to really fit somehow.
