Hi! Not sure how active the community is but thought I'd make a post similar to the r/fasting daily check in.

I'll start: Been OMAD the previous 2 days and currently 23 hrs into another fast. Feeling a bit tired but otherwise okay, so might go nap to get it over the 1 day mark. Haven't decided whether to extend.

Hi there I have been doing 16:8 fasting since 10 July. Counting calories, keeping under 1200 during the week, and under 1500 weekends. I am used to it now. Only drink black coffee and water during fast. Weight training 2x week and a booty &core class on a Tuesday. But, the weight is taking its time to move. I have lost a kg, only for it to fluctuate up and down each day. Today, I am 900g below my SW. And I will take that as a win. SW: 69kg, CW: 68.1kg GW: 62kg

Yess! I have similar stats and I find doing exercise can result in some really volatile weight swings. I do some weight training too but really really impressed at the classes as any cardio at all outside of a short walk makes me quite dizzy.

As you say, the overall trend line is what's important, eyes on the prize and all!

I do body pump classes 2x week and don't find they cause any dizziness. Although, my classes are in the afternoon, after I have ended my fast, so that's probably why. Good to have someone around the same stats 👌. Hope we both get to our goal weight 💪

I started the week off with a 26 hour fast. I was feeling strong and, physically, like I could have gone longer. However, the brain was struggling and shutting down, which was stopping me from getting any work done, so I took the win and broke the fast. I followed that with 2 fasts a bit over 18 hours each and I am on track for a 21 hour fast today. I typically take 1 day a week off from fasting and after today I don't plan to start my next fast until Saturday night / Sunday morning.

I just decided to start up a fast again. I was doing pretty good, then put 15 pounds back on and need to reset. My eating habits are so out of control, it's only through fasting that I seem to experience any self-control. I'm almost through my first day. From my past fasts, 2 of the first 3 days kind of suck. After that it's not bad for a few more days.

I've been the same. ill be doing 1 to 3 day fasts well. Losing weight and then life and stress makes it all almost impossible to keep going. Realized I stress eat, eat when I'm bored or trying to relax. It's 2 steps forward one step back

I'm new to fasting. Does anyone do 24hr fasting one day a week regularly? I'm hoping doing so every week helps keep my appetite down/in check.

I've even thought about doing so regularly twice a week, but have no idea if that would work at all.

I have a lot of success with a ~48h fast between dinner on Sunday and breakfast on Wednesday every week. I built up to it in 8h increments, find it easier than fasting every day. I do track calories for the rest of the week, but sometimes I forget or lose track for a few days, and it doesn't seem to affect a steady weight loss of 1kg/week.
