Worth checking the forks too, personally I prefer TachiyomiJ2K

Is there a resource that summarizes the major differences? Why do you prefer J2K for example?

I like j2k because I have a Windows Surface Duo 2, and only j2k has the option to allow me to unfold my phone and read the Manga like a book :) Total game changer

I tried them all awhile back, but I remember one of the reasons I stuck with J2K (apart from visual preference) is the ability to edit the manga entry, e.g changing the status from ongoing to completed, or completely editing the title if there's a typo from the source.

Hmmm I remember finding a post on reddit not too long ago, but no more reddit for me. There is a list of forks on the site so you can try them tho: https://tachiyomi.org/forks/

Aniyomi is a fork I've been using for forever. Allows you to stream anime and other cartoons along with reading manga and comics all in the same app. Could not recommend it more.

I switched to Aniyomi, a unofficial fork that adds anime sources so you can have anime and manga in 1 app https://github.com/aniyomiorg/aniyomi
