It's like removing a laugh track from an old sitcom.
It's better, because here the underlying pacing isn't left ruined after the removal.
Removing the laugh track leaves behind (hilariously) awkward gaps.

Also, depending on your definition of 'old,' that laugh track might be a live studio audience rather than canned laughter.

I usually agree. HOWEVER.... I woke up this morning, opened Lemmy, and saw this post:

I don't get it
I finally got it. I got the "top" as in top or bottom in sexual sense, but what I missed was that it was a typo and meant to tell you to tip your delivery drivers.
Oh it was no typo
She was actually trying to say “type your delivery driver.”, it’s a subtle reference to how she mistyped “tip your delivery driver.”
She's recently switched to TypeScript and is annoyed that non-delivery drivers keep messing up her code. If people remembered to strongly type their driver objects, the compiler would have caught that error.
Top in this case being a verb, means to perform fellatio.
Top vs bottom in the sexual sense.
Top as in sloppy toppy is what it means
My guess is it was probably supposed to say TIP, not TOP.
Putting on lingerie to blow your delivery driver is not necessary. Appreciated, but not necessary.
I may be wrong, but I don't think that's what topped means. Tipped, maybe.
