My brain just happened to have me type it this way. Maybe it was because I was reading the source tweet so "Toukyou" got stuck in my head. Also, with multiple languages all having different ways of saying and spelling countries and cities from around the world, it can get pretty confusing at times. Going with the original or a transliteration can be a relatively safe way to go without thinking too hard about it. It simply didn't occur to me as I typed this that it was not the usual way it is spelled in English. In conclusion, not weeb nonsense but just me struggling with languages a bit as I type things on the internet.
