A community for the discussion and adoration of the Aubrey-Maturin series of novels written by Patrick O'Brian (1914-2000), from which the film 'Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World' (2003 - starring Russell Crowe and Paul Bettany) was adapted. Discussion related to the Age of Sail is also welcomed.
