Ok, I had a preauricular sinus, which I have had removed because of later complications (apparently is more common, but I can't find the specific data) and probably dyspraxia (of which diagnosis I won't seek, as I have already had enough trouble with the great Slovenian medical system (at least we have public health insurance)(as you can see, I also can't shut up if that's in the DSM)).

Fun fact: My GI doc was the first person in my entire medical history as an adult that hinted at me being autistic, even before the MH providers.

The second one sounds painful. I didn't know bowel health problems also collerate with autism. I do know NE and DUI correlate with ASD. I did ocasionally wet my pants at school until I was around 13 and wet the bed until around 15. Edit: As you can see I can act like an asshole and realise it later. Sorry for making everytging about me. I was just trying to say I understand you somewhat.

Oh yeah, when I'm in a flair, UC is super painful. I get hospitalized for 1-2 weeks, during which they give me IV dilaudid every 4 hours. Luckily, that hasn't happened in a few years.

I wet the bed until a pretty late age too! I don't remember exactly what age, but I remember being really self-conscious about it. I think I was in middle school (12-14 y/o) when I was still wetting the bed. I still make sure I pee before going to bed every night. I didn't know that was associated with autism tho. Interesting! I wonder what other weird things are associate with autism that no one told me about.

Edit: As you can see I can act like an asshole and realise it later. Sorry for making everytging about me. I was just trying to say I understand you somewhat.

I don't think you acted like an asshole at all, and I think that sharing your experience helped us relate on common experiences. If you feel comfortable, pls continue doing so 🙂

I have Dyslexia and suspected ADHD.

[–] Persen 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Well, I did think I have ADHD many times, bit you can never know what's just a part of ASD and what ADHD, but I probably don't have it. I'm not doubting your conclusion, but what bought you to this?

General lack of organization, forgetfulness, cant muster enough focus for most things that aren't my passion but i can hyperfocus on things that interest me.

Oh, thanks. Now I won't have intrusive thoughts about having undiagnosed ADHD.

OCD. and there's a pretty good chance that I have ADD as well, but that's never been tested for.
