Kana fans eating good this ep

Eating it up like baking soda.

A nice, light episode after all of the Akane drama. We get some screentime with newcomer MEM-cho who reveals her real age. No wonder she wasn't interested in dating during the show, that would be downright predatory.

It's surprising to see that neither Ruby nor MEM-cho could sing. They were both so interested in becoming idols that feels like a thing you would have practiced at some point?

Finally an episode about the group. The Akane arc was fine but Akasaka is still not the best drama writer, Ruby and Kana felt really forgotten the last few weeks. Ai's supposed love interest being from the same troupe as Akane is quite interesting though.

The plot twist with MEM-cho really threw me for a loop. And I am glad that the other girls realized that Kana is a powerhouse of an idol in the making.

Do any of you guys think Akane is going to get roped into B Komachi too? With her ability to imitate Ai, she could pull it off.

With how quirky they're portraying Frill Shiranui, it kinda feels like she's an option too. Not just an actress on a holy pedestal but this quirky character

Don't think so. 3 is a good number already, I guess and they probably don't want the story to revolve around new B Komachi too much?

It feels like her joining would both remove the tension with Kana about Aqua, but introduce bigger tension between Kana and her because she's a more successful actress. Neither of which seem like a good direction for the story.

Nah, I feel like she'll stay an actor to remain in Aqua's story, rather than move to Ruby's.

For all his intellect Aqua is still such a shocking arsehole for not realising the emotional rollercoaster he inflicted on Kana.

I'm thinking it's the other way around. Aqua doesn't think much of it because he's already told Kana when they played catchball that the show is simply fluff and for entertainment value and that his real self isn't really in it. For him it's already a closed chapter and I think he considered the fact that Kana as an actress would already know that. I don't think he's caught on yet how much Kana loves him. We know because we see everything from her down to her deepest thoughts but Aqua doesn't see any of that.
