Kind of wish there was an alternate career paths for filmmakers with vision than to get plugged into the Disney machine. Lament the death of the mainstream, mid-budget drama.

So is anyone keeping track of how many animated classics they have left until they have to be original again

By the time they're done maybe they'll start remaking the remakes lol

Seems like a bizzare move from Women Talking to Disney but in an age where Greta Gerwig is making the Barbie movie, I'll hold off on judgement.

It's bizarre to me that they're still calling these remakes "live action," even when there are no human characters in the film, and all the animal characters are animated (in a realistic style, but still animated).

I wish they would not. Given how absolutely gritty and joyless some of these remakes have been I am sure there will be a gory realistic death scene.
