Customizing your boot video that shows up when you turn the Steam Deck is one of the most entertaining things of it outside of gaming. What are your favorites?

Same. Probably the only one I really wanted

Using the Saturn one, I just find the animation of the ball so satisfying

I didn't bother setting one up yet. Saving this for ideas.

This is where I'd set a custom boot video for my Steam Deck...IF I HAD ONE.

It's on order. I can't wait.

Did it arrive?

Still using the default one. Some of them are really beautiful tho

I have the love, death, and robots themed one. Looks super clean

Yeah, it looks fantastic. If I had to choose just one boot animation to use instead of a rotation I'd probably stick with that one.

That reminds me I really need to get around to watching more of that show

I plopped a bunch that I liked in there and have the shuffle option enabled. There's just too many to choose a favorite!

I got rid of the custom ones as I still got crashes, even after disabling the 2 options - shuffle/wake movie.

Using the custom pip-boy one, it's the only one I've ever tried!

After cycling through a few I've went back to the default.

Valve Gabecube

I'm using Parimak's PS2-inspired one.

Minimal Glitch Zero 3D from the Animation Changer add-on for Decky. It's quick and looks cool. I had one that mimicked a 90s desktop boot sequence but I found I was skipping it 90% of the time since it was like 30 seconds long. Plus I think I just got over the idea of novelty boot animations.

the default one but i am considering a hf1 valve bald dude if i can find it.

The Dreamcast one!

As for myself, I'm using the Matrix one, the Neo-geo one, the Game boy one, one of the videos with the turrets (not the official one, just their red light and "Helloooo" played), one that replaces the Steam logo with Aperture's and plays its jingle, the one about history of handheld devices and one based on the PS1 boot screen. (You can play a random one each time)

I've got about 30 on shuffle. Love Death & Robots us probably the best non-joke one.

The windows XP one is my favorite joke one.
