I've noticed that it's often difficult for newcomers to
gitto understand what the heck is happening and how the commands work.Here's a flowchart that has helped me explain things in the past, and (more than once) folks have asked me for a copy of it to use as a cheat sheet. Hope it's helpful!
This is awesome! I wish I had seen this a couple of years ago. I had a Comp-Sci class where we had to submit our assignments through Github, but we weren't given much info on how to use it. We were just sort of thrown into the deep end of the pool.
