I have 7 legendary runes and obviously I like the idea of somehow being compensated for losing functionality in a legendary item (which is supposed to be a one-time grind). But what I really want… is a legendary aqua breather!
I too have all 7 and I'm curious to see what they intend to do about it, as you said legendaries should be a one-time grind.
It's a matter of trust, I mean, if players didn't trust legendaries to retain their QoL value over time, why even make them? There would be no point.
Whatever they come up with as compensation can make or break that kind of trust IMO.
