I wish lemmy could have an option like mastodon where you can move your account to another instace without losing your subscriptions , saved posts , posts ,comments .etc. (feddit.ch)

Is it on the road map ? Like it would be really useful when an instance it going to shut down or an instace admin goes volatile , so we don't have to manage several accounts .

Update : it does have the feature well kinda you can only import setting and subscribtion no saved posts or anything . To do this you have to go to the web page, sign in , setting , import . Hope this was helpfull.

You could use some block chain methodology to keep "ownership" of posts when you move instances. Not to say it's easy to implement but cryptographically there are ways to prove a post was made by you. If you're concerned about anonymity this of course works against you.
