Because it's hard to argue green-ness when covered in blood.
Anti air missiles are used for defense. Its not wrong to manufacture them.
Nobody said it was wrong.
The criticism here is with the merchants of death running a PR campaign to make them seem like they care. It's like a mass murderer getting accolades for getting a cat down from a tree.
