Ah the joy of cats. Number ones in the tray. Big production of scratching at the side of the tray from multiple directions. Move next door to the covered litter tray. Number twos. Another big production of completely useless side of box scratching. Wander off happy. I get to clean out two litter trays. Thanks cat.

My lady cat does that too. Dig the litter hun, the sides are just slippery plastic.
