"What the users want" my ass. Reddit doesn't give 2 shits about what the users want.
I checked https://blackout.photon-reddit.com/ and I see a lot of subs that opened at exactly the same time as r/mildlyinteresting. Some of them appear to still have mods but others, like r/self, don't show any mods, at least on the official app. As far as I can tell, all of the subs that opened at that time were set to NSFW
That’s exactly what I’m seeing. Those who set their subreddits as NSFW are getting removed.
